November 4, 2025![]() Ralph Miller Ralph E. Miller, Jr. was born on March 19th 1950 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital to Ralph Miller and Doris Miller (nee Stratton). Ralph was the eldest of four brothers, survived by Dennis, Bob, and Bill. Ralph attended Thomas Buchanan Read School, and Tilden Middle School in Philadelphia. His primary education completed at Ridley High School. Following High School, Ralph joined the Air Force. In 1975 Ralph met his wife-to-be at his brother, Dennis' wedding. After spilling beer down her denim jacket, Margaret Catherine Clark presumed Ralph too inebriated to remember her phone number and allowed him to walk her home. A courtship followed, in spite of her disdain for Ralph's car. True to his words to Margaret's mother on the day they met, they did marry in 1977 and had two children Amelia (1982) and Geoffrey (1987). Ralph's passion for aviation, boating, and motor vehicles colored the entirety of his career. He worked at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, the Dover, Delaware Air National Guard Base, and The Boeing Company. By the end of his military career, Ralph had traveled to all but two continents - and carried with him many stories. He had served through Vietnam, Desert Storm and Shield, and Operation Enduring Freedom among other National Guard deployments. Beyond his mechanical skills, Ralph was an artisan. He had a passion for photography, competing occasionally in local contests. He studied Tiffany-style stained glass under ex-Marine Joe Bateman. His art was shared among friends as gifts, and his art remains hanging in the family home. Ralph was beloved by many. Among friends the Millers were known to host holidays, where his wife, Maggie would cook a delectable feast - often enough for more than twice those in attendance. Ralph would often hold court, keeping everyone's rapt attention with stories, anecdotes, and the expertly timed one-liner. His quips and humor were timeless, often informed by his love for Looney Tunes, the Three Stooges, and The Marx Brothers. In 2023, his wife pre-deceased him. In his later days he bravely faced a battle with cancer that he ultimately could not defeat. Ralph found love anew by after a happy accident; when a website he used to connect with other surviving spouses, seeking friendship, somehow matched him with a midwestern widow he was immediately charmed by, in 2024 he wed Evelyn. His final days were hopeful against all challenges, appreciative of the love and support that carried him this far. He is survived by his brothers, his children, and his beloved wife. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Visitation on Friday after 10:00 am at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood followed by a Service at 11:00 am. In the 1970s, demonstrating his selfless devotion, Richard even took out a loan to bring his family to Disney World - not once, but twice - creating magical memories that would last a lifetime. Richard had a passion for music and dancing, which brought him and those around him great joy. Whether it was dancing to his favorite song, Old Time Rock and Roll, or enthusiastically performing the Twist and the Mummers Strut at gatherings, Richard was always the life of the party. His dancing was a delight to watch, and he never failed to bring smiles and laughter to those fortunate enough to see him in his element. When he and his beloved wife shared a slow dance, it was as if they were gliding effortlessly across the floor, a beautiful reflection of their deep love and connection. Known for his warm heart, infectious smile, and generous spirit, Richard touched the lives of many. He was a kind and compassionate man, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, expecting nothing in return. His gentle nature and unwavering kindness made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Richard's presence will be deeply missed, but the love, joy, and countless cherished memories he leaves behind will live on forever in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Wednesday 9:30 - 11:00 am at Our Lady of Peace Parish, 32 Carroll Avenue, Williamstown, NJ 08094. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am. Inurnment All Saints Cemetery, Newfield. In honor of Richard's life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, his family would encourage any donations to Our Lady of Peace Parish at the address above. |

March 14, 2025![]() Walter Campbell Walter (Walt) Joseph Campbell, Sr., of Ambler, PA, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on March 7, 2025, at the age of 81. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Walt was the beloved son of the late Bernard and Catherine (née Love) Campbell. He is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Eleanor, and his cherished children: Cheryl Zampirri (Michael), Andrew Campbell (Kathleen), and Walter Campbell Jr. (Reshma). Walt was a proud and loving grandfather to Jazlyn Sachin, Brittany Cirko (Ethan), John Bisceglie, Christian Bisceglie, Joseph Campbell, Jania Campbell, Jade Campbell, and Aiden Campbell, as well as an adoring great-grandfather to Carter Cirko. He was a caring brother to John Campbell (late Kathleen) and is predeceased by his brothers Bernard (Joan) and Howard (Debbie). Walt will be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. In his early twenties, Walt served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. His service was defined by resilience and determination, as he overcame a life-altering car accident that required over a year of hospitalization and pioneering surgery involving the fusion of a rib to his forehead. Despite these challenges, he returned to complete his service in California with courage and grace before coming home to Pennsylvania. After helping to settle his parents in Upper Darby, Walt met the love of his life, Eleanor. Together, they built a home full of love in Northeast Philadelphia, raising their family with care and dedication. A devoted provider, Walt worked diligently in several roles, including at The Frankford Arsenal, Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, and the Navy Depot, where his exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbers made him an invaluable asset. He treasured the camaraderie of his pinochle crew and took great pride in including his family in work-related events. Later in life, Walt found joy in driving for Dave's Limousine, where he met fascinating people, including celebrities, and created memorable experiences. Never one to shy away from growth, he furthered his education to become a building engineer, dedicating his talents to the Philadelphia School District until his second retirement. Walt's contributions extended beyond his career and into the community. As a coach for numerous basketball and baseball teams at the Our Lady of Calvary Athletic Association, he was a mentor, role model, and father figure to many children. His enduring legacy as "Coach" continues to inspire as former players fondly recall his guidance and encouragement. Walt's passion for sports also shone through his love for Philadelphia teams and South Carolina teams, which he followed closely to stay connected with his grandchildren. Family was Walt's greatest source of happiness. He formed deep and lasting bonds with his grandchildren, sharing countless cherished moments during family vacations to Disney and the Jersey Shore. He found joy in good food, sunshine, and countless summer days spent by the pool, soaking in his beloved "vitamin D." In his later years, Walt faced health challenges, including diabetes, congestive heart failure, and atrial fibrillation. Through it all, he demonstrated remarkable bravery and strength, supported by the unwavering love and care of Eleanor. A beacon of kindness and generosity, Walt embodied the principle that it is better to give than to receive, always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Walt's life was a testament to faith, love, and selflessness. He lived out the teachings of Christ, serving as a role model of compassion and unwavering spirit. Though his passing leaves a profound void, his family and loved ones find solace in knowing he is now embraced in God's eternal light, reunited with those who went before him. May his soul rest in peace, and may his extraordinary legacy inspire all who were blessed to know him. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Walt's life during his visitation on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at Decker/Givnish Funeral Home, 216 York Road, Warminster, PA 18974. from his classic Olds to motorcycles. He also passed on his love for
Philadelphia sports to everyone he knew. Jerry was truly a one of a kind person
that will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Due to the current pandemic, services are limited to immediate family members. A celebration of life event will be held at a later date. |

Eugene (Gene) H. Juergens (x41)
Eugene (Gene) H. Juergens passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in his sleep Thursday June 14, 2018 in his home in Algiers, LA. He was born September 9, 1948 to Barbara and Leo Juergens in Philadelphia, PA. Gene was a member of the 1966 graduating class at Father Judge High School in Philadelphia. In 1971, Gene married Marilyn Juck, and together they had two children, Jennifer and Christopher. He completed his four-year apprenticeship to become a journeyman boilermaker in the U.S. Navy Shipyard in 1970. He thrived in this occupation for eight years, until being promoted to Ship Scheduler, two years later was again promoted to Boilermaker Foreman. In 1982 Gene moved to New Orleans, LA where he whole-heartedly enjoyed his life, and the remainder of his prestigious 40-year career as a contractor/surveyor for SUPSHIP, a branch of the Department of Defense. August 21, 1983 was a very important date for Gene; this was his initiation in to The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, West Bank Lodge 2496. He derived great pleasure serving his community as an Elk and has earned such esteemed leadership roles as Lodge Exalted Ruler three times, Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler, and State President. His 35 years of service alongside his brothers from the Elks were truly some of the most meaningful in his life. In April 1990 Gene was again married, to Catherine Liz Cox, but was unfortunately widowed, after her battle with leukemia. Some of his favorite activities were hunting, deep-sea fishing, racquetball, and an occasional round of golf. Gene is survived by his fiancée Deborah Gomez and his son Christopher Juergens. Visitation and funeral services will be held Wednesday June 20 at 11:00 AM for family, and 11:30 for friends at St. Anthony's Church in Gretna, LA with a Mass to follow at 1:00 PM. Eugene will be laid to rest at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, LA. Family and friends may view and sign the online guest book at www.mothefunerals.com. |

January 6, 2017 Kevin P. Meehan 56 Shop PNSY On January 3, 2017 of Washington Twp. Age 63. Beloved Husband of Patricia (nee O’Donnell). Devoted father of Sean P. (Michell), Timothy (Jill) and Kerry Meehan (Michelle). Loving grandfather of Gabby, Samantha, George, Liam, Cameron, Amanda, Mickey and Tommy. Dear brother of Joseph F. Barnett, Jr., Michael B., Margaret F. and the late Martha Esher. Kevin was a loving husband and a great dad. He battled courageously against every obstacle life threw at him. He loved "God , family and country." Kevin was the first in his family to graduate college. He was the epitome of the term lifelong learner. When the closing of the Navy yard forced him to change careers, he went back to school to take education classes and ultimately became a teacher of his biggest love, history. He ultimately went on to earn his masters degree in educational administration. Kevin's quest for knowledge didn't end there. He took classes in pipefitting, tuned in to any and all shows to do with history, read the newspaper cover to cover and even sat and read the encyclopedia like one might read a good novel. He traveled extensively in Europe to many counties to experience the sites where major events shaped history. Kevin loved camping and hiking the Appalachian trail where he was famous for getting lost in the woods. He loved to tell corny jokes, provide text commentary during Eagles games and coin Kevinisms such as "going to the carnival is like buying a hot dog." He also loved God and helping others. He was a faithful member of the Knights of Columbus and a volunteer to his church's food pantry. Kevin's first love was his family. His proudest accomplishment was his three sons who are honest, productive members of society now raising families of their own. He was happiest when surrounded by not only his immediate family but also his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Through his final moments he continued to selflessly think of others. Concerned about his wife and family rather than his own condition, he passed away as he lived life - on his terms. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday 7:00-9:00 PM and Saturday 8:45-9:45 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM at Mary Mother of Mercy Parish/Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Glassboro. Entombment, All Saints Cemetery, Newfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to Mary Mother of Mercy Parish, 500 Greentree Rd., Glassboro, NJ 08028.
